Nigerians are making history world wide and today, we are celebrating those who have and are still representing the green-white-green colour combo.

Lets set the ball rolling:

1. Saheed Adepoju

Saheed AdepojuSaheed Adepoju is a 28 year old graduate of Bournemouth University who is also the co-founder of Encipher Group, a Nigerian-based technology company that manufactured Nigerian’s first tablet computer called INYE-1. ‘Inye’ is Igala language for ‘Number 1’.

The tablet was unveiled in April 2010 and is a 7-inch resistive screen tablet which runs on android 2.1.

Users using the device can connect to the internet using an inbuilt WIFI card. Its successor, INYE-2 runs on android 2.2.

2. Jelani Aliyu.

Jelani Aliyu is known to have designed the Chevy Volt which is really a 2012 electric compact car with a 5-door hatch back body design.

Jelanie who was born in Kaduna in 1966 and is really from Sokoto state bagged an associate degree in Architecture in Kebbi Polytechnic in 1988.

After working for the ministry of Works in Sokoto, he went to the US to further his education.

In 1994, he graduated with a degree in Automobile design and was employed by General Motors right after.

Chevy Volt is one of the leading brands of GM.

3. Sebastine Chinonye Omeh.

Sebastine who is the Managing Director of Hybrid Micro Machine Products Limited is from Enugu State and graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

He began researching on the benefits of turning wind into energy after being challenged by the poor energy situation in the country.

These are three people who have become prominent and put themselves on high pedestals by giving themselves towards the development of their society.
