Lagos main roads were anything but congested, Saturday which is the ideal day for many kinds of parties ranging from birthdays and weddings to burial, send forth ceremonies.

The usual regalia of aso-ebi, especially the gele skentele and fila skontolo seemed to be on “covert” mode.

Whether this spawned for love or hatred for President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR. Who was said to be visiting the nation’s financial capital, well we only really know?

PMB paid Lagos state a visit by holding a campaign rally of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for his re-election bid come the presidential elections which would be held in the 16th of february.

In fact, Lagosians usually “kept to time” because evenly occupying the Teslim Balogun Stadium was a humongous crowd of supporters waiting for the arrival of Mr president even.

Even as at 11 am, the venue of the rally which is located in Surulere, was already filled, and kept receiving more as the masses really crowded the area.

The rally had generated controversy as soon as the Lagos state government on Wednesday announced that the presidential campaign rally mean the closure of nothing less than 18 major motorways including Ikorodu Road and Third Mainland Bridge.

However, the state government later said the movements would no longer be restricted.

A NAN reporter who observed traffic on major roads reports there was no form of traffic on main roads at least as at 10am.

On Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, the traffic was unusually free, as there were very few vehicles on the road…
