Reports have surfaced in Spain suggesting that Real club president Florentino Perez is concerned Liverpool will get in before them.

Perez is also worried that Liverpool have the spending power – due in part to winning the Champions League this year – to pay Mbappe more than the £300,000 a week PSG are currently paying him.

Real have reportedly lined up a world-record transfer to snare Mbappe. As reported by Calcio Mercato, the Spanish giants are weighing up a staggering €400million (£343m) offer for the 20-year-old.

Any move would dramatically surpass the current record transfer fee which was the £198m paid by PSG to sign Neymar from Barcelona back in 2017.
